Our Humble Beginning

We started as a mission church sent by the Chinese Baptist Church of Orange County (CBCOC) in Anaheim to reach more Cantonese-speaking Chinese in the southern parts of Orange County. From beginning as a humble place of worship to having the biggest community of Chinese-American believers, the growth of our church would not have been possible without the grace of our Lord.

CBCOC was led to vision in January 1991, following its annual church planning conference.

Ten families and eighty people were sent by the Chinese Baptist Church of Orange County (CBCOC) in Anaheim to establish a mission church with the goal to reach more Cantonese-speaking Chinese in the southern parts of Orange County. In April of 1992, The Church on Red Hill in Tustin, California offered to host our mission church. Rev. James Chiu who founded CBCOC, as well as the senior pastor at that time, volunteered to become senior pastor of the mission church.

A group of people were sent down to Tustin to visit a temporary location for rent.
