At Haven Youth, we believe that all kinds of people belong in God’s family.
We exist to help middle school and high school students explore the intersection of culture, identity, and Jesus.

Our Goal:
Is to develop youth into disciples of Jesus who are committed to living for Him both inside and outside the church.
Our Foundations (Acts 2:42-47):
1. Worship. Authentic, community-led corporate praise.
2. Spiritual Formation. Gospel-centered Bible teaching focused on daily life change.
3. Fellowship. An accepting, diverse, come-as-you-are community based on personal relationships with staff and youth.
4. Service. Making God’s glory known to the Church and community through sacrificial giving of time and energy.
5. Evangelism. Personal responsibility for sharing the Gospel, with equipping and stories of evangelism.
A typical Friday Night:
• Games. Fellowship! Builds relationships, creates trust, lowers walls.
• Worship. Led by youth and youth leaders.
• Message. Pastor Elliott, guest speaker, or video series addressing current events.
• Small groups. Led by Counselors, focused on life application of messages, students being heard and prayed for by counselors, and by each other.
• Snacks and hangout. Ministry in the in-between.
Pastor Mike Liang
Pastor Mike joined the Chinese Baptist Church of Central Orange County (CBCCOC) in July of 2021 as the Children’s Assistant Pastor and extended his assistance as the Interim Youth Pastor on April 1, 2024. He was born in Minneapolis, MN, lived in many Midwest cities, and graduated from Moody Theological Seminary with a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies.
He has served 15+ years as a Children's & Youth Pastor at Pittsburgh Chinese Church Oakland, a Preacher at the Northwest Suburban Chinese Christian Church, and a Youth Director at the Living Water Evangelical Church.
His vision and belief are that God has given parents the primary responsibility to nurture their children in the Christian faith. This is both a wonderful opportunity and an important responsibility. He desires to come alongside the parents to support and equip their children in laying a firm foundation of faith, hope, and love in Jesus Christ.
His mission is to help provide a deeper faith in the Children not only to just accept Christ into their hearts, soul, and mind as their Savior, but as their Lord. Secondly, he wants children/youth to love and obey God’s Word (not out of legality or pleasing parents, but worship, pleasing God).
Pastor Mike is married to his beautiful wife Jeanne and has a lovely young daughter Madeleine.
